What are Gradings?
Gradings are an assessment in which the students have the opportunity to earn their next belts.
The gradings are structured similarly to a normal class, and the students will cover all of the techniques that are listed under their next belt in their syllabus book.
At Kazen Kai, we hold gradings 6 times a year to give our students plenty of opportunity to progress through the Kazen Kai belt grading. Most students take every second grading, so progress 2 to 3 belts a year.
How do I know if I am ready to grade?
Students will know they are ready to grade when their instructor has given them the white slip with
clear instructions on how to book the grading.
Junior students can track their progress by looking at stamps they have achieved in their syllabus books.
If you are not sure, please ask your instructor.
