United World Karate Championship - Team Update!

The Kazen Kai squad members have been training hard in Slovenia represnting England at the United World Karate Championship the last few days and we now have some updates from the competition to share!

Ryan Lambert got into the second round in his category for Kumite but just lost the round and just missed out on a medal in the open weight category.
James Nash won his fight in Kumite but has now had to withdraw from the competition due to injury.

One week until the United World Karate 1st World Championship!!

Our squad members have been training hard for the fast approaching United World Karate 1st World Championship in Slovenia!

Ian Wilson, Ryan Lambert, James Nash and Andy Trowbridge will compete in Kumite and Clea Martin will compete in Kata. The five team members will be representing England!

Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Brentwood Dojo raises £400!

Thank you to all those who came and donated to our Macmillan Coffee morning at the Brentwood Dojo on 25th September, we raised £400 for Macmillan through the sale of cakes, coffee, tea and raffle tickets! A great morning had by all raising money for such a great cause! Special thanks to Helen Pratt for organising and baking some tasty cakes!

South East England Championships Results

Yesterday we took our Kata squad to the South East England Championships in Clacton. The day was extremely busy with over 400 competitors and more than 20 different Karate clubs.
Every one of our students out did themselves, gaining the most points they have ever done and considering it was the first competition for some of our students they did brilliantly!!!!
The improvement in theconfidence and technique of the squad was amazing.

Kazen Kai Squad Members Selected to represent England at the Inaugral United World Karate Championships

Congratulations to the Kazen Kai squad members who have been selected to be part of the United World Karate (UWK) team representing England at the Inaugral United World Karate Championships in October in Slovenia.
Ryan Lambert, James Nash and Andy Trowbridge will compete in Kumite and Clea Martin will compete in Kata.
Well done to all and we wish you the best of luck at the competition in October. We will keep everyone posted with updates!

Clacton Competition 05/07/2015

Well done to all those who took part in the competition today in Clacton, especially to those who came to compete for the first time! We are proud of you all, keep up the good work!

Summer BBQ and Open Day 28.06.2015

A big thank you to all those who came along to support the club at the Summer BBQ and Open Day on 28th June at the Brentwood Dojo. We had great fun (despite the bad weather!) and raised a total of £875.35 for our squad! The funds will go towards taking the squad out to the next competitions in Ireland and Romania later this year.
The winners of the raffle were: 1st Prize - Private Lesson (Pink 54), 2nd Prize - £20 Equipment Voucher (Blue 222) and 3rd Prize - Kazen Kai Karate cake (Blue 76). Please contact your instructor to claim your prize!
